If you or anyone you know locally are struggling with computer or digital skills, we’re planning some free courses and drop-in sessions. To help us plan these, please register your interest by visiting us at Langney Community Library so we can take a few details.
You don’t need to be a member of the Community Library – the offer is available to anyone living locally.
The Langney Community Library committee would like to say a big thank you to all those who supported our Christmas Fair on Saturday, 27 November, which raised over £800 towards the overheads of running the Community Library and our Community Hub. The independent Community Library is run entirely by volunteers.
Chair of the Trustees, Alan Shuttleworth said:
“We had great support from the Shopping Centre and the other traders and from our many Community Library members and the wider community. We are always on the look out for more volunteer librarians. We have a wonderful team of volunteers and we are extending our community offer with the new Community Hub in our basement area.”
As well as the Community Library, which has around 1800 members, there are sessions run by different community organisations including People Matter providing employment support and Citizens Advice Bureau. If your group is interested in using the Community Hub please drop into the Community Library and ask for details.
